We have seen that when using Google Drive in Google Chrome some users are finding that files appear to  be missing  and not in folders when other colleagues are able to view the files.


We have contacted Google regarding the issue and they have responded:

This is currently a known issue in our Google Drive. I'm currently working with our product engineers to investigate this issue. I don’t have detailed information available at this time, but I’ll let you know when I do.


Workarounds:

  •  Refresh Google Drive - while in the the folder, simply press the Refresh Arrow or F5 key to refresh the web browser and the files will appear again.


  • Use Google Drive for Desktop - Log in to the app and use the Desktop version of Google Drive - futher guidance here https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9965580?hl=en
