If you need to use the Passthrough port on a Ruckus Access Point (AP) to connect another device such as a PC or Printer.
- Login to the Ruckus Zone Director using the Credentials on the S21 Master Technical Document
- Click the Configure Tab at the Top of the Page - See Configure Tab.png
- Click the Access Points button on the Sidebar of the Configure page - See Configure Tab 2.png
- You will be presented with a list of the Access point which you can search for a specific AP or MAC Address of an AP, Search for the AP you wish to configure (E.g RECEPTION) - See Access Points.png
- Once you have found the AP you wish to configure the Passthrough port of Click the Edit Hyperlink in the Right-most column - See Access Point - Search.png
- You will then be taken to the configuration page of the AP, Please note Ruckus AP's are configured in groups so any large changes that you would like to affect all AP's should be configured in the AP Group (S21 Group) - See Configure Page.png
- Scroll Down to the bottom of the Yellow Configuration table to the last Options which Say Port Settings (It's Under the Heading - Model Specific Control) and tick the checkbox to Override Group Config - See Port Settings.png
- You will then be presented with a picture of the AP and options to change the Port, Ensure you are Changing the LAN2 Port (As LAN1 is the AP's Uplink Port and shouldn't be changed for this process) - See AP Port Config.png
- You may need to check the Enable Tickbox for the LAN2 Port.
- Tunnel Should be Unchecked
- DHCP_Opt282 Should be Unchecked
- Type should be Access Port
- VLAN Untag ID should be the VLAN you wish the device you are plugging in to be on (Cirriculum VLAN is the main one for S21 owned Computers, Printers and Other networked devices) if you wish to use this VLAN then enter 101 in the Box
- 802.1X should Disabled

- Click OK button under the Settings
- Unplug and replug the device you wanted to use the passthrough port for and it will then pick up a DHCP address (If device isn't set to use a Static IP) and will be functional on the network.
